Freiburg can be reached from many European countries (including the UK) within half a day or a day by train. We recommend rail travel.
The tram No 4 links the Central Freiburg with the town center and our neighbourhood in 15 minutes.

"Deutsch in Freiburg" is a fantastic school. I have been an online student for several years, and for the past two years I have also attended an intensive two-week one-to-one course each Spring.
While I can highly recommend the online tutoring, the in-person courses are truly something special. Before each course began, Barbara and I worked together on my goals: primarily improving my speaking, comprehension and, importantly, my confidence. I had three different instructors, which kept the conversations and lessons fresh and varied. The lessons struck a perfect balance between classroom work and speaking German out in the world with my instructors. The homework assignments were creative and enjoyable; for example, I went to a film and then summarised the plot the next day.
